What is the difference between 2D, 3D, 4D and HD Live?

2D ultrasound is the standard black and white ultrasound image you will typically receive at your doctor’s appointment. 3D ultrasound images show much more detail of the baby’s facial features. 4D ultrasound shows the movement in the womb of your baby. Finally, HD ultrasound shows even more detail and a richer color.

How do I prepare for my ultrasound?

STAY HYDRATED! The more hydrated you are the better pictures we’ll be able to get. So start pushing water at least 24-72 hrs before your exam. Bring something sweet to eat or drink right before your exam so the baby can be up and moving.

How soon will I receive my images?

You will receive all images on the day of your appointment either printed or emailed. However, the 8K image and video is post-processed and takes 2-3 business days to receive.

Is there an additional charge for twins?

There is no addtional charge for multiple gestation pregnancies. We only ask you let us know ahead of time so we can extend your appointment to ensure we have the proper amount of time to capture both babies.

What if we cannot see the gender or baby is not cooperating for pictures?

At The Sonogram Studio we strive to provide the very best experience and high quality images of your little one. Unfortunately, babies in the womb can be slightly unpredictable, so we cannot guarantee that your baby will be positioned perfectly or that you will get the exact images that you're hoping for. We dedicate time and resources for your appointment, therefore this is a non-refundable service. If deemed necessary, a complimentary second attempt may be offered at the Sonographer's discretion.
